There are so many breakfast choices on the market today. From cereal to eggs to waffles, there are so many different kinds to choose from. It is widely known that breakfast is the most important meal of the day so no matter what, just make sure you eat something.
There are many different kinds of cereal and they are generally broken down into 2 different groups; sugar cereal and non-sugar cereal. Obviously the sugar cereals are less healthy but they often taste much better than the other type. With sugar cereals my top favorites are Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Captain Crunch. These all taste really good and help to fill your stomach in the morning. Non sugar cereals may include Raisin Bran, Chex and Granola. I often try to stick with the non sugar cereals as these are the best, healthiest kind for you.
If you are in the mood for a hot breakfast you can’t go wrong with eggs. Packed with protein, this is the true breakfast of champions. You can choose between fried eggs, scrambled eggs, omelets or even eggs Benedict. My favorite is classic omelet with tomatoes, cheese, onions, ham and sour cream. Excluding the sour cream, this is a very healthy breakfast. Another idea is the egg breakfast burrito. If you are not in the mood to cook these items for yourself there are many restaurants or even drive throughs that sell these items.
Waffles can be more difficult to make from home and most people do not make them from scratch as a waffle maker is required. Many people buy Eggo waffles at the store or go out to breakfast. My favorite type of waffle is plain, old fashioned with vanilla ice cream on top. Now, this certainly is not the healthiest breakfast and I rarely eat it or order it.
Generally I stick to healthy and either eat eggs or non-sugar cereal. If this is not for you, that’s ok. Just make sure to eat something and fill up your stomach.
